Trollheim Online Rules
At any given situation the rules and punishments are subject to change according to staff decision. We do not require you to receive a warning before a punishment is given. It is the responsibility of the players to know the rules.
Trollheim's staff reserves the right to stop destructive behaviour in the game and forum. Such behaviour includes, but is not limited to, the following offences:
1. Names
a. Offensive Name
Names that are insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable. This includes names with hyphens, abbreviations and any other methods to hide offensive terms.
Punishment: Banishment until player changes name or longer.
b. Invalid Name Format
Names that contain parts of sentences (except for guild names), badly formatted words or nonsensical combinations of letters.
Punishment: Banishment until player changes name or longer.
c. Name Containing Forbidden Advertising
Names that advertise brands, products or services of third parties, content which is not related to the game server, or attempts to make trades for real money (even "joking" related) or content on another server. These can include real, or fantasy world names that advertise to players or the server as a whole. As well as any format in which to impersonate a member of staff.
Punishment: For Item Selling - Permanent Ban. For Advertising - Banishment until player changes name or up to our discretion.
d. Unsuitable Name
Names that express religious or political views or generally do not fit into our fantasy setting.
Punishment: Banishment until player changes name or longer.
e. Name Supporting Rule Violation
Names that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Trollheim Rules.
Punishment: Banishment until player changes name or longer.
2. Statements
a. Offensive Statement
Insulting, racist, sexually related, drug-related, harassing or generally objectionable statements. Muting the individual through the ignore function and reporting them to a Staff member can help.
Punishment: Channel specific mute, Global Mute, Ban at our discretion.
b. Spamming
Excessively repeating identical or similar statements or using badly formatted or nonsensical text. This includes spamming in channels that are not meant for the content, or attempting to hamper other player's experience on the server.
Punishment: Channel specific mute, Global Mute, Ban at our discretion.
c. Advertising
Advertising brands, products or services of third parties, content which is not related to the game server, or attempts to make trades for real money or content on another server.
Punishment: Deletion of the account.
d. Off-Topic Public Statement
Religious or political public statements or other public statements which are not related to the topic of the used channel or board.
Punishment: Channel specific mute, Global Mute, Ban at our discretion.
e. Violating Language Restriction
Non-English statements in boards and channels where the use of English is explicitly required.
Punishment: Channel specific mute, Global Mute, Ban at our discretion.
f. Disclosing Personal Data of Others
Disclosing personal data of other people.
Punishment: Banishment or deletion depending on the severity of the violation.
g. Supporting Rule Violation
Statements that support, incite, announce or imply a violation of the Trollheim Online Rules.
Punishment: Deletion of the account.
h. Griefing
Abusing or taking advantage of game mechanics and freedoms in order to deliberately and without justification excessively harass other players within the game, especially in ways which would prevent them from progressing within or playing the game.
Punishment: Banishment or deletion depending on the severity of the violation.
i. Hostile towards us
Spreading false information or starting propaganda about the server which may cause a reduction of the server's population or harm the server's reputation. This can also include harassing individual staff members, volunteers, or players on the server through doxxing methods, or various threats, or general toxicity.
Punishment: Channel specific mute, Global Mute, Ban at our discretion up to deletion of the account.
3. Cheating
a. Bug Abuse
Knowingly exploiting obvious errors of the game or any other part of our services available to players. Bugs should be reported immediately using our report feature (Ctrl+Z) or messaging a staff member in game or on Discord.
Punishment: Ban at our discretion up to deletion of the account.
b. Third Party Software
Manipulating or modifying the official game client program in a way to gain advantage over other players, abusing the official game client, using additional software to play the game or pretending to cheat to mislead other players on purpose.
Punishment: Ban at our discretion up to deletion of the account.
c. Multi-Clienting
It is perfectly legal to use more than one game client to play on each world simultaneously with up to three characters (different accounts), but only under circumstances of using the second character to make runes, train skills but not hunt monsters.
It is prohibited on all of your characters to move or stand in a way that prevents other players to pass through or is interrupting other players in any other way (blocking path, blocking access to or from hunting zone, blocking access to or from the deposit, blocking spawns, blocking access to NPCs, killing players, etc.)
Participating in any PvP activities when using two or more game clients is strictly prohibited.
Abusing multi-client by hunting monsters on the same spot using both characters (sharing experience points, blocking monsters, healing using a multi-client, etc.) or making a quest on both characters at the same time is also forbidden.
Punishment: Banishment or deletion depending on the severity of the violation.
4. Legal Issues
a. Account Trading or Sharing
Offering account data to other players, accepting other players' account data or allowing other players to use your account.
Trollheim does not take any responsibility towards the action of selling, buying, sharing or trading accounts. However, we do consider advertisement of such actions to be penalized which may lead to a deletion of your account.
b. Game Items Trading
Offering virtual items in Trollheim Online world for real money or products of third parties.
Trollheim does not take any responsibility towards the action of selling, buying, sharing or trading in-game items. However, we do consider advertisement of such actions to be penalized which may lead to a deletion of your account.
c. Hacking
Stealing other players' account or personal data.
Trollheim does not take any responsibility towards the action of hacking. However, we do consider advertisement of such actions to be penalized which may lead to a deletion of your account.
5. Reporting
On our server you are going to be rewarded if you report bugs successfully. Please be aware that Trollheim Stuff members may contact you in game or Bug Reports section on site if there is a problem with reproducing this bug. Abusing report system may leads you to banishment or account deletion (in example you spam same report again and again).
a. Bug Report
To report a bug please use CTRL + Z mechanism. For every bug report that is new, you are going to get Premium Points. Amount of PP will be different depending on the severity of the bug.
When you are not going to be rewarded:
- If someone reported this bug before you
- Trollheim Stuff knows about bug and it is under development/bugfixing
- It is not a bug
- Stuff can not reproduce bug and can not contact with Player that reported it
- You reported this bug earlier
- Trollheim Stuff doesn't understand the report message (eg. not written in english)
b. Rule Violation Report
To report a Rule Violation please use mechanisms implemented in client. You can RMB on player nick in chat window or CTRL + RMB on player and selecting Report Name or Report Bot/Macro. You can also use CTRL + Y combination.
